In July 2026, Ensign Natural Resources II LLC ("Ensign") closed on the acquisition of certain ConocoPhillips (“Conoco”) assets located in DeWitt, Gonzales, Karnes and Lavaca Counties Texas, including a property in which you own an interest.
What happens next?
WHEN | WHAT TO EXPECT |
Now through October 2026 | Conoco will send your final revenue payment for both oil and gas. Please direct any questions about those payments to ConocoPhillips. |
Before your first Ensign payment | You will receive new Division Orders from Ensign in the mail confirming your decimal interest. Please review, sign and return them promptly. |
Beginning November 2026 | Because gas is paid on a two-month lag, this will also be your last Conoco payment for gas produced in September. Because oil is paid on a one-month lag, this will be your first Ensign payment for oil produced in October. |
December 2026 onward | Both oil and gas revenue will be paid by Ensign. |
January 2027 | You will receive a 1099 from ConocoPhillips and a separate 1099 from Ensign, covering revenue distributed in 2026. |
No action is required to keep your payments coming. If your account is currently in pay status with Conoco, there will be no disruption to your revenue payments during the transition. Ensign will continue to disburse revenue in the same fashion as Conoco was previously paying via check or direct deposit.
